A 10-night minimum rental is required at Captain's House during the Christmas/New Year period.

Rental car - can be delivered and picked-up free of charge at the airport, ferry dock or at Captain's House. A 4x4 is recommended for guests staying at Captain's House.
Provisions can be delivered to Captain's House prior to your arrival.
Private massages/spa service/beauty treatments can be arranged at the villa.




About the House
A long driveway, bordered by colourful bougainvillea, welcomes you to the Captain's House, a 2-bed private villa on Tortola. The villa sits majestically high up hillside with breathtaking panoramic ocean views from all corners of the property.

The large private pool separates the two pavilions ensuring maximum privacy to guests. The east pavilion offers king or twin beds with outdoor shower and private balcony. On the far side of the pool, a shady loggia provides an ideal area for alfresco dining and relaxation and leads into the main pavilion.

The living room, with tropical casual furnishings, is located adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher.

The master king bedroom suite beyond the living room also boasts an outdoor shower with sea views and private balcony.

Impressive 16' cathedral ceilings in the bedrooms and living room keep the villa well ventilated and comfortable, complimented by cooling tradewinds. Captain's House is a popular and romantic retreat.

About Tortola
Relax poolside at The Captain's House or venture forth to learn why Tortola is an island much loved by sailors, divers and fishermen. There are over 50 islands surrounding Tortola for day-trippers to discover and rediscover. From the beaches, you can swim in tranquil blue waters or snorkel along a magnificent reef while you watch multi-hued fish dart through colorful coral. For scuba divers, there is the world famous Wreck of the Rhone to explore, as well as many caves and coves filled with the wonders of the sea. For fishermen, there are deep sea fishing expeditions as well as smaller boats to rent, with or without captains. There are many day trips to choose from as well, such as Norman Island, site of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island and Virgin Gorda, where mammoth boulders dot the shore.

Known for its pristine, sandy beaches and clear blue waters, Tortola's lush, mountainous terrain offers additional attraction and exploration for visitors. Road Town, the capital of Tortola, can be reached from The Captain's House by way of a pleasant drive along the seaside highway. Road Town offers quaint shops, picturesque marinas, and excellent restaurants. Whether you seek 4-star fine dining or a casual meal, there are many restaurants on Tortola to choose from. Enjoy a burger on the beach or in a pub by the marina, or sample spicy local cuisine.

Mount Sage National Park, loved by nature enthusiasts and hikers, is a short distance from The Captain's House. Tennis and horseback riding are available nearby as well.

Getting Here
Tortola can be easily and conveniently reached from a number of gateways. From the U.S., several major airlines fly into San Juan, Puero Rico, and St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Both locations offer regularly scheduled flights to Tortola's Beef Island Airport. The Captain's House is a short ride from there. In addition to flights, there are ferry services from St Thomas as well. 45 minutes on the ferry takes you to Soper's Hole; The Captain's House is just minutes away.
