MT. NEVIS

Me Hideaway is a three bedroom villa located on the southeast side of the island, up behind Golden Rock Estate. At 1,300 ft it is one of the highest houses on the island with a commanding view of Montserrat and Redondo, on clear days you can see Antigua and Barbuda as well. Bathed in the trade winds during the day, it is refreshingly cooler in the evening. Me Hideaway is totally private but not isolated.

Fewer/more days available, we're flexible. Government tax @ 8% to be added.

Rates include electricity, water, housekeeping twice a week. 50% deposit due at time of booking, balance to be paid to Jennifer upon arrival.
US$200 deposit for phone, refundable after approximately 8 weeks.

New locally made four poster beds, two king and one queen. New box springs and mattresses dressed with 400 thread count cotton sheets, new feather down pillows and duvets. Bathrooms furnished with new egyptian cotton towels, new furnishings and appliances throughout accommodate a new level of comfort.

The addition of a large pool deck with new furniture and cushions surrounded by a traditional "monkey puzzle" railing adds a new dimension of outdoor living to the house. You can see Windward Beach from the upper verandah, if it looks too rough or windy just "lime" by your own pool!

Having undergone a major transformation, we're delighted with the work we've done - should you choose to stay here you'll be sitting on top of the world.

The island's best grocery store is seven minutes away in Gingerland. Golden Rock serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all week (plus the best rum punch on the island).

Upon arrival our friend Stedroy (Smile on Me taxi) will meet you and take you to the house. Jennifer, our house manager, will meet you personally there. Refrigerator will be stocked with some refreshments for your first evening. Our rental car agent gives our guests a price break, and your car and Nevis' driver's license will be at the house. Upstairs the villa offers a kitchen, living room, bedroom with king size bed, bathroom, powder room, and a nine foot porch with new dining table and chairs. Downstairs can be reached by the outside spiral staircase and offers two bedrooms (one king and one queen) and full bath. The swimming pool is approximately 29 by 13 ft. (8.70m by 3.80m).

About Nevis
Nevis is the unspoilt queen of the Caribbean. A little off the beaten track, it offers everything from rainforest to beautiful beaches. There are no snakes and just very few bugs on Nevis. Come explore our tiny island and history. Wander the old sugar mills, enjoy the water source, or take a day to deep sea fish. Play a round of golf on the Four Season's Championship Robert Trent II golf course (reservations required) or play a game of tennis. Minutes away you'll find Golden Rock Hotel, one of the oldest plantations on the island serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Numerous other Plantations Inns and local establishments are also nearby for your dining pleasure.
A trip to Nevis is a visit to the Caribbean like it used to be. The poeple are friendly,the pace is slow and the West Indies sunshine cannot be beaten. If you want a vacation that soothes your mind and nourishes your spirit Nevis is for you.

How to Get to Nevis
From Europe Nevis can be reached by: British Airways, Condor and Virgin to Antigua, Air France and KLM through St. Martin, on with Liat. Excel Airline flies every Saturday from London Gatwick to St.Kitts, the sister island of Nevis. Air Holland flies every friday to St.Martin from Amsterdam.

From the States: Through San Juan or St. Martin. From New York Jet Blue has cheap flights to San Juan and Universal Airline flies to St.Kitts on Saturdays.
